Envision being softly serenaded at sunset by Samoans singing sweet melodies native to their culture that tell historic island tales as your fresh sashimi is served with a cold beverage; and, most importantly, a smile. This afternoon summary actually happens every day here at Aganoa Lodge. Being blessed with good surf is an added bonus. Making it all that much better, we have been lucky enough for the last few weeks to have that added flare of the weather playing paradise.
Aganoa Left and Right have been firing through an array of different forms of waves as there are SE and SW swell directions approaching our front yard, the weather shaping the swells into satisfying surf. The size has ranged from 2-6 ft and the winds have been amazing, contributing to idyllic surf conditions.
Too many waves have gone unridden due to the extremely limited crowd numbers, but this has made for excellent viewing and inspiration on the paddle back to the peak. We have been trying our hardest to catch all the waves but there have just been too many. The way we see it, there are worse problems to have.
