THE SMELL OF CHANGE
A smell of change has passed through the air at Aganoa Lodge.
An untimely Northerly swell has allowed us to surf Pastor Point, which is a long friendly right hander located on the East Coast of the island. The Northerly swell created a small playful 2-3 ft beginner wave with a couple of rippable ramp sections for the more experienced surfers.
Back at the Lodge the wind changed so we made a group vote which diverted us down the South Coast of the island to the little A-frame wave we like to call Middles. At first, the wave was a little wind affected, but it still had steep sections to hack at. As the afternoon went on, the wind died down and barrels were now on the cards. Everyone surfed until their arms couldn’t take anymore. On the travels back to the Lodge, we enjoyed a cold beer in hand then to arrive just in time to see one of the most beautiful sunsets Aganoa has displayed in awhile.
This continuing trend of change has allowed us to explore many of the other great gems hidden around Savai’i, stay tuned to see where the rest of the week takes us!
