Telo Island Lodge Surf Report
Aug 24, 2015
After farewelling the surfed out legends who were our last guests, it was straight back in the saddle for the guides and staff at Telo Island Lodge. We kicked proceedings off as we so often do at Max’s left first afternoon. The waves were not giant, but still a super fun user friendly deal with more than enough sets to let everyone get their sea legs.
Our first full day launched at the ER in a pretty stiff breeze from the quarter that restricts options a little, however, this breeze as it often does shifted and eased and we managed to squeeze in a session at Max’s Left again on the way back home for lunch. Post lunch day two saw a jump in size assisted by the tide and we surfed a very respectable session at Max’s Left again to wrap up the day.
It seems this trip is going to be “Goofies Delight”, and today 24/08/2015 saw us surfing perfect 3-4 foot Max’s left before a late breakfast back at the lodge, and an early arvo session start of 12.00 O’Clock was called. Yet another wind shift saw us take the short drive over to Le Ba to surf 2 - 3 footers for 4 hours before the mandatory slow drive home drinking ice cold Bintangs and watching the days end from out at sea.
As per normal there is more surf on the radar as the week progresses so stay tuned.
