As the first warm breath of soft easterly wind fanned Aganoa cove’s coconut trees yesterday at around 9 AM, we knew what we were in for.
With an already established 4-6 ft SE-SW swell eagerly awaiting its breezy friend, the morning was ready to act out the cliche picture perfect postcard scene it's done so many times before. If the whole Aganoa natural operations team (wind, sun, waves, beach, reef) were a person, I’d accuse it of showing off.
Whether it was bathing in the turquoise shallows, casting a line with sand between toes or surfing for a total of 8 hours, our guests were delighted with not leaving the lodge. The care-free day culminated to probably the best “golden hour” to date where the weather and waves aligned in a spectacular dusk finale.
In other news, the first all organic, fully onsite sourced dish was created - a papaya salsa. Tomato, capsicum, chilli, coriander, garlic chives, lime and papaya are all grown here at the lodge, came together to create something sweet, spicy and refreshing.
