We saw a return to normal programming the last few days in the Telo Islands with very few people around and nice clean fun user friendly 3-4 foot waves. Change over day was three days ago, and our “New” guests are already feeling it after multiple long sessions.
We have been staying out of the boats a bit more than normal with this group making the most of Max’s Right directly in front of the lodge though a few have split from the pack to enjoy Kindies with just a couple of friends while the others opted to surf home base.
Yesterday morning, we did go all nautical though, and it was an absolute cracker over at Kindies in consistent 3-4 foot conditions. With a tapering swell forecast everyone made the most of it and racked up very respectable wave counts. The arvo session was more of the same, and the group split between the two peaks of Schoolyards and Kindies and had to be coaxed out of the water to make it back to the lodge for sunset beers on the deck watching Max's right do its thing.
August and September are an amazing time of year up in Sumatra so stay tuned to see what pans out.
