WHAT A WEEK.
Last week Aganoa Lodge was filled with fun hosting a family, body boarders, knee boarders and surfers in what was a very diverse week of waves and activities. We got to surf some different locations including Pastor Point, Coconut Grove, Middles, Aganoa Rights and Aganoa lefts. From chilled out foamy action to lip smacking madness, we had it all!
Varying conditions meant we generally made a plan the night before over some beers at dinner but one consistent thing was a SE-SW swell that was hitting the South coast at 2-5 foot (depending on how exposed the break was).
If we were to categorise I’d say Aganoa was for barrels, Middles was for turns, Pastor Point saved us one day when nothing else was working and Coconut Grove provided us with some small clean waves along with some super clear snorkelling and a pleasant beach picnic.
The thing about Savai’i’s South Coast breaks is that these descriptions can be traded between all waves depending on conditions but don’t worry, our surf guides will take care of that!
