Aganoa Lodge Samoa Surf Report

After some relentless SE onshore winds and rain at Aganoa, an escape to the Northwest part of beautiful Savai'i was essential. Amazingly, for 90% of the van ride it was pouring rain but as soon as we entered the magical realm that is the Savai'i Coconut Grove, the sun started to shine and the offshore breeze cooled our anticipation. We knew it was on.

A 4-6 ft SW swell was being shaped by the once volcanic lava fingers of reef that meets the white sand beach fringed with coconut trees. We had escaped the unwelcome weather and everyone was frothing.

We enjoyed a pre-packed picnic lunch under the shade of a coconut tree and then either basked in the sweet sunshine or lived it up out in the line up. Finally wrapping up the day with some crisp Vailimas in the sand.
