Telo Island Lodge Surf Report
Oct 06, 2015
It has arrived! We have seen a fair swell rise, hit its peak, and is currently tapering down over the next few days, leaving the guest and guides a good variety of waves to pick from.
Saturday afternoon was the start of the swell. Max’s Left was the go-to spot, watching the swell grew set by set. It started off at around 3 ft, and rose to around 5 ft by dusk. GTs was called for the morning session, and was 3-5 ft, pretty epic for a few hours. Some were not wanting to take on the challenge, but were more than happy cheering on the others from the boat.
Le-Ba is a group winner, when it was 3-5 ft and there were 8 people in the water. Nice waves are running down the island; it is a wave that is pretty hard to beat. We have been lucky enough to have had 3 long sessions on the right hander, letting the boys rack up their wave count.
Max's Left has been getting a bit of a work out too as the wind’s changing throughout the day leaving Max’s Left with perfect offshore conditions. We had a few nice waves out there this morning, and are hoping to get another session in around the corner in the afternoon.
The swell is looking like it will drop a little, but it should hang around the 4-7 ft mark for the second half of the boys’ trip, hopefully producing a few nice waves.
